The result is the JForce Formula Vee, a custom space-frame single-seater powered by a 1400cc Volkswagen engine, first raced in 2024. Johan Gouws has been racing alongside his father since 2006. What started as a shared love for speed became a two-decade commitment to build a race car from the ground up.

After racing together from 2006 to 2013, Johan Gouws Snr turned his focus to the drawing board. Years of sketches, long weekends in the workshop and relentless refinement produced the JForce Formula Vee. Designed, engineered and built entirely by hand. It debuted in 2024. It is not just metal and fibreglass. It is a lifetime of belief poured into one machine.

The journey has never been easy. They have been hit, crashed and rebuilt. But the dream keeps burning. These days Johan's own family joins them at the track.
